Default Auto H22 harness for EG H22 manual, anything ive overlooked?

Ive been reading the sticky about the H22 into EG civic and am not sure whether I can get away with using a auto harness on a manual swap? I shall use the civic D series harness and the auto h22 harness, over lay them and lengthen the wires. I think its just the speed sensor wire (VSS) that runs to the box but not sure if it differs manual to auto.
The engine I am using is a H22A and the gearbox a M2A4 (IIRC?). The engine currently is a D15B2. The trim model of the civic is ESI.

Also both engines are OBD1 (92-95) so do I just plug and play a P72 ECU once Ive modified the harness plug lengths etc? no need for running v-tec wires? (I only ask as it doesnt mention the esi model in the faq)

cheers
