just installed short shifter and poly shifter bushings hows it supose to feel?
When i first installed the short shifter it was SUPER TIGHT i would have to muscle it to get into gear, i kept screwing the bolt and nut in till it wouldnt move anymore, i figured the shifter was tight because of this so i backed off and tightened the bolt and nut "BARELY" and now the shifter is perfect, is this how tight the nut and bolt on the bottom of the shifter is supose to be?

i'd rather have it tight instead of loose, in most situations in life

it should feel tight. not super tight but moveable. it feels good. u will know when its on right. I recommend changing the bushings, and bracket that gpoes around the ball part.

when i installed my short shifter, the linkage was spread out a abit and i pinched the bracket together a little bit, to tighten the nut to where it felt good. then i used 290 locktite, its green, and dropped some on the end of the bolt, so the the nut would not back itself off.
