Default EX Cluster but AUTO

I have a CX 5speed and need a cluster with tach
i swear somebody told me if i get cluster it has to be manual
I forgot what the reason was.
ANYONE can help me out.
Whats the difference if i get a Auto EX cluster
i am getting it because its alot cheaper
i only want a tach thats all.

There is no difference except that the AUTO cluster has the P,N,D4,D3,R showing. The auto EX's have an extra plug that connects to the back of the cluster for it which isn't required for manual tranny cars. They cluster will function exactly the same though. What some people with AUTO ex clusters do is get some white gauge faces which cover up the P,N,D,R section.

Thats what I did when I got my new si cluster. It was an auto cluster and I have a 5-speed. I just got a set of white face gauges and it covers up the P-R-N-d3-d2-d1 thingy. I got mine from a junkyard for 60 bucks with 45,000 miles. Those dumbasses on e-bay are paying almost 120 bucks sometimes.
