i'm wondering if this is true, i read on the net that for a year or two in japan the Type-R spoiler was available with an optional brake light from the factory. Has anyone ever heard of this before? i'm curious because i want to get an ITR spoiler for my GS and i'm not sure wether i want one w/a brake light or if i should get the normal kind w/o one and then get a 3rd brake light from a teg w/o a spoiler. any comments are welcome. thanx.

 

I've never heard of or have seen an ITR wing (OEM) with a brake light.
Frankly, I don't think they have HCMSL's in Japan.

i have never seen any R with break light on spoiler.. and i believe you won't need that on a R

Why would they put a brake lihgt on the spoiler and have one on the back glass??

 

Because Japanese people have terrible taste.

 

Actually, I know for a fact they do sell an ITR wing with L.E.D. but, from the best of my knewledge it's not O.E.M optional its aftermarket. But im not sure if its fiberglass or polyurathane. what ever you do just dont put the L.E.D one..it looks old skool...just get the normal one or nothing.
