jdm hid retrofit?
check out http://www.theretrofitsource.com
i personally have not heard of anybody doing it on the DA (i'm assuming you're talking about those headlights) but check it out though... i know you could probably clear and smooth out the lenses on those headlights so that the projectors would actually have a better affect when shining through the lens.

I have no clue if you are talking about the DA one piece headlights or not but I was going to do a retrofit in them until my car got totalled, instead I did it to my 94 now, but either way here is a pic from another person showing what the other poster was talking about:

because the JDM HIDs have a reverse cutoff. unless he doesn't care, then he should just get the JDM HIDs

On most cars, the passenger side headlight aims a little higher than the driver side. Since the Japanese passenger side is our driver side, it would aim a little higher. With a bit of adjustment, it doesn't come out too bad though.

i see yea that really doesnt matter to me. but if i were to do a hid retrofit on my non hid headlights would it be worth it? or should i just invest in the real ones? i know its hella expensive
personally i wouldn't spend the extra money doing a retrofit unless the reverse cutoff was bugging me that much. should've just gotten the JDM HID's to begin with IMHO, and then like SuckMyDOHC said, with a little adjustment it shouldn't be too bad.
but if i were to go through with the retrofit.. i would go with the Acura TL projectors... i'm going to use these on my Odyssey(RL1) when i get enough ends for the parts and labor.

i wish i would have started with the hid's but one i bought my jdm front it came with chrome housing headlights and then i traded them with someone for their black housings and now i want to do hids but dont know which path to take.
yes, i have seen a couple integs do a tsx or a s2000 retrofit on the jdm headlights... came out really nice.
i believe a set of hid headlights... would run you anywhere from $850-999... i guess it really depends on where you find it.

hi there well i have a jdm conversion and first i have the non hid and i did a tsx retrofit and after three months i came around a cheap oem hid so i just buy those so check out my pics. The output on the oem is much better than the tsx but the downfall is that it has the RHD cutoff which i think to me it sucks because i want other cars to see the nice color band flickering with out blinding them. Because if you aim the oncoming side perfect it will have very low light on the passenger side. But overall i think the oem is still sharper and better than retrofit because of the oem hid lense is better than the non hid ones.
here are the comparisons
both the comparison are taken at the same place but three months apart
same bulb on both, about 100+ hours on them

I just had the same problem trying to decide what to do with my lights. My buddy just did a retrofit into his EG and it was around $400, so I just figured for that much plus the price I could sell my non HID ITR lights I'd just buy the OEM pieces and thats what I did. I'm happy with it because I know they're set up properly and I'm not going to mess anything up tearing them appart and cutting things out. I guess I just didn't trust myself.

nope
HID stands for high intensity deflection.
the hid projector is pretty important to get en effective beam
sticking a hid ballast & bulbs into a normal projector would make shitty dispersed beam.
