Apexi WS2 rust?
After looking around for an exhaust that isnt going to make too much sound i think ive somewhat decided on getting the Apexi ws2. RSR was my first choice, but its a little pricey and hard to find.. so that kind of elmiminates that. Anyway, i was reading about the WS2 and i saw this
"l while the mandrel bent piping consists of high temperature, titanium particle coated mild steel."
I live in oregon (rains 10 months out of the year) and im wondering if im going to see alot of rust considering the exhaust isnt fully stainless. Anyone have any experience with this?

A good Aluminized exhaust tube will last around 10 years in our state. We don't salt the roads like the east coast does. I have no idea how this particle treatment works but it doesn't look bad. I, like you, am about to drive over to horsepowerfreaks and buy one. The other thing we have to ask is this: just how long are we going to have the car. My GSR has 140k on it now and i'm going to sell it in the low 200's. I don't doubt for a minute a WS2 will go 70k without an issue. I will tell you the worst cat-back i've ever used. Pace setter. I kid you not the muffler was burned out in less than 10k miles.
im hoping so.. i kno apexi makes very high quality products but with only the muffler being SS im a little conserned. I found it for 415$ here

best price ive found. i guess i better just go for it
. my 94 GSR only has 70k miles on it.. so ill probably be keeping it for a very long time

if your so concerned about exhaust rusting, go with borla, they have the million mile warrenty, it'll last longer than your car ever will. but with regards to apexi, i doubt that such a well known and established company would cheap out on something they are famous for and design an exhaust that would rust.
I've never seen a Borla kit for a GSR, like full cat back kit. Their stuff does rock though. I have a modified Borla Header back exhaust on my Vette that was purchased by another guy back in 1996 and it still looks new when i polish it. No kidding, the exhaust would pass for a couple months old easily. Very good stuff.
