I have a '94 civic hatch that is sitting on the full adjustable omnipower coilovers. It had them when I bought it.

The coilovers come with 3 sets of springs (all 7" long and 2.5" diameter) with rates of 12k, 10k, and 8k. They can be aranged in anyway to suit your perference. I have it with the 10k springs up front and 8k in the rear (or 559lb/in & 447lb/in if your prefer to see it that way).

Anyways, its great on the track for hpde, but its pretty stiff on the street considering this is my daily driver.

I also have an EM1 that is on koni yellows with gc's that have rates of 400lb/in front and 350lb/in rear. I like this setup better. Its more comfortable on the street and still handles very well.

So conidering I already have coilovers on the EG & would rather not shell out the cash to buy it koni's and gc's.

Could I just buy a pair of eibach race springs that are 7" long & 2.5" daimeter (same as the omnis) with rates of say 400lb/in and put those in the rear and then move the 8k (or 447lb/in) omni springs up to the front.

So i guess the main question is would their be a problem with using a different brand of spring?
My guess is no because it will be the same length and diameter, plus the rate I plan to buy (400lb/in) is only slightly less then the 8k (or 447lb/in) rate springs that come with the coilovers. But I'm not positive so that's why I'm asking.

And secondary, would it be ok to use omni brand springs up front and eibach in the rear (both will be same lenght and diameter) in order to save a few bucks since the 8k springs are already what I want for the front. Or would it be better for me to just spend a bit more and buy all eibach springs for the front and rear?

as long as the ID is 2.5", it shouldnt matter.

yea, the omni are all marked in metric, but it converts to basically 7" long and 2.5" diameter.
