Free rev survey.
I bought a 2008 Civic Si sedan recently. My buddy also has a 2008 Civic Si coupe. He told me my engine is kinda weak compared to his. After both of your cars are completely warm up. I tap the gas paddle to the floor and release(right away after it touchthes the floor). His rpm passes 4,000, while mine barely hits 2,500. Both of our cars are bone stock. I want to know how yours does. Please, do it after the engine is completely warm up.

Go dyno your car, that is a pretty horrible way to compare two engines. You never know, maybe your car makes more power than his on the dyno. Butt dyno is one thing, this takes the cake.

wasn't there something about the computers that studies your driving style, the more aggressive you drive, the faster it responds? Maybe because yours is new and he has been driving aggressively.
Mine only goes to 2500-3k RPMs. Its the lag. Maybe your friend is a little slow on his release. The only thing that would compare is throttle responce anyway, not how much power a car has. Your friend is retarded for saying his is more powerful anyway. Does he understand that both cars have the exact same motor/tranny/flywheel/clutch setup. The power difference wouldn't be more than 10WHP difference as long as both are dyno'd the same day, on the same dyno. Weather affects the results, and different style dynos will have slightly different results.
Race? 2nd gear roll?
Your buddy just wants to think hes got a freak motor (BS). Hes dumb.
EDIT: I am not condoning street racing but for a cheaper alternative to dyno do a roll race, the weight diff. wont matter much. If you both start from a low rpm in 2nd gear and just lay into until rev limit you will see if theres a serious difference.
Racing from first gear, or through several gears can introduce other factors which could be misleading.
