Default OEM Mudguards Question.

does anyone know how to modify the front mudguards so that they don't scrape the ground?

If they are too tall for your lowered teg (I assume your car is dropped anyway since they're dragging) then why not just remove them?

I cut about 3" off of mine. I just took each one and stuck them under my dad's power miter saw.

I just let the pavement grind them down to the proper height

They work fine for me. Even with my car not as low as it used to be on GC's, my cut mud guards still scrape on a few large speed bumps I know of around here.

I know it's more of a preference thing, but how do the mud gaurds look on your car Patrick? Do you have any pics of the whole car in a little more light. I have 2 sets at my house that are just sitting there. I may have to go check em out in a bit.

Awesome man, thanks for takin the time to post that pic. I think I am going to see how they look on my car too. Never thought I would end up kind of liking that look but it does add to the car.

i thought i was the only one letting the speedbumps scrape my mudflaps til its there, its going to be years til its there lol, since i rarely scrape over regular roads, but u can fit ur foot under my mudflap, but point being let the pavement scrape it til its there

no thanks, mine were scraping just driving down the interstate every time I hit the slightest dip, and i couldn't stand that loud@$$ scraping noise every few seconds.

Why endure hearing that noise all the time when you can just go ahead and trim them?
