oil thickeners???

Default oil thickeners???

is it bad to use those lucas oil stabilizers on vtec engines?? i was just wondering because dont do those motors need thinner oils? im currently using 10w30 oil in my lsv. whats the best oil should i use? 5w30? thanks for the info!!!

dont use lucas cause it puts a strain on the oil pump when its cold cause its so thick stick with the 5w-30 high rpm oil quaker state q its pretty good and if you want more oil pressure just shim the oil pump

You shim the relief valve to open at at higher PSI.

so just use 5w30? its a preety new enine with 2000 mile on it

i use the stabilizer on my engine. I only pour in half the bottle though cars been running great same oil pump and raced on a regular. Who knows though might be only a matter of time.

i know endyn does this in house and sells it. what would be a proper way for DIY? i've seen it done on another cars but not personally on a honda yet.

In a performance application most people are trying to shed oil from their moving parts for reasons like weight and windage.

I thought we were talking High-performance/ race stuff, not stock LS stuff.
