Strange rear end noise when cold
So I just noticed something that happens on extra-cold days/nights.
If the car has been sitting for a while - upon hitting VTEC the rear end makes a nasty noise and the car tries to spin out (this is not related to engine temp, and no I don't rev beyond 3k before the motor is fully warmed up).
If you wait until you've been driving for a few minutes nothing weird happens.
Anybody know off the top of their heads what would be causing this?
---
On a side note, I just became aware that my rear tires are too skinny. The guy who fixed my car before selling it to me put on some Federal something-or-others in the stock size (not knowing that our stock Potenza's are wider than their sidewall would indicate).
Time to get some 17" Buddy Club QF P1's with 265 rears ha ha ha

thanks!
that sounds more like what I was trying to describe. It's weird, like you'll be on a flat dry road and if you were sitting stationary for 5-10 mins (in extremely cold conditions) when you floor it the car tries to go sideways.
Wait maybe 1-2 mins of actual driving and the car returns to normal behavior.
