if the sensor is going out it would cause it to studder. if the sensor is not working all the time it would tell the computer the car was at say idel one moment and say WOT the next changeing the timing and inj. pulse making the motor run lean then rich then leaen again causing the studder.

not that the cyp sensor does al that it would still be telling the computer that the motor is running diferent the the other sensors and it would try to make corection so that all the reading were with in tolerace.

If you can you can replace this thing that looks like a magnate with a single teeth that reads off the rotor in there. Dont know whats it called. Thats what we did to a friends car, and it works fine.

sounds like a dizzy, you can find a working one on the forum for about 100 or less depending on mileage and condition but if your trying to get new good luck ive seen them anywhere upwards to 300

stick with OEM honda distributor man.

BTW: did it just start happening out of the blue? or after you did the swap?

If you have a extra known good cyp sensor sometimes you can switch it into yours ifyou know how to take a distributor apart.

make sure you solder what? do you have any clue on what your talking about?

the sensors are held in with srew's....

but yeah man replace the dizzy will be the best bet

only other thing it could be is wiring, i would check that first... on the dizzy and goin to the ecu, if you have a jumper etc
