Default 93 octane hp?

im gonna be building a b20vtec from the ground up. 93 octane is the highest available daily, so im thinking of between 11.5-12:1cr.

what kind of power are you guys making on 93 and how high are your compression ratios?

thanks

93 octane sounds good if you dont go any higher than 12:1 jus tune the **** out of it

I am getting away with mid 11's on really shifty 91 octane.... timing is a bish tho... mid 11 -12 should be doable on most 93's based on what I've seen.

what kind of timing did you end up pulling if any?

im aiming for between 11.5-12:1 but i dont wanna have to start pulling timing, thats just lost power. im aiming for around 250+hp with a b20vtec 2.2L stroker

thats no small feat because if your want to keep it together long your already losing a thousand or so rpm you can turn the engine. so it has to make the power sooner without turning the **** out of it, but it can be done with that compression you just need the right combo of parts

i dont really expect the set up to last to 100k, ill be happy with more like 60k. its more of a "i bet i can do it" kinda thing that will be a fun toy till i kill it

16 to 20k would be more realistic. to make is last longer depending on wear you would want to pull it apart and check everything and re-ring it and slap in some new bearings to keep it going anywhere close to 60k
