Is this the 4 bolt housing thats been machined to a 3 inch v-band or is the the standard 3 inch v-band. Yes there is a difference.

wow is that a standard v band option? why the hell does it stick out so much more than normal

As I am aware, yes.
Only way to truely make it 3"
If you want it closer, then it will only be 2.5"
(unless machined from the 4bolt) as im aware..
