Id look for someplace local since mainhoops require more then 8 feet of tubing. Shipping for pieces longer then 8 feet require truck delievery which is expensive.
http://www.chassisshop.com/ sells most common nhra sizes if you want to try them.

We get our materials @ a local placed called Metal by the Foot.

I'm sure if you open up the phone book, there should be some metal supplier locally. Cheaper than shipping that heavy stuff in.

We also get the main hoops for hondas from a local w/d. They sell the competition engineering stuff.

I see that you live in Tallahassee. Call Metal Supermarket (850) 205-2400. I am not sure on there pricing since I have only bought a few things from them, but it's worth a shot.

im from ct and we have a metal supermarkets here too, thats where i get mine i called like 5 places to get the best deal and they had the best, make sure to specify DOM, most metal shops dont have it on the shelf, it took like 3 days for my place to get it in and they cut it in half for free so i could get it in the truck, they come in 20-22 ft lengths, you should be able to get it for under $6.00 a foot, depending on the size, i got 40ft of 1.5"x.095 wall for $170

Nice, I'll have to check them out after I get my bender. The local metal yard wanted waaay to much for DOM, and I've been looking for a place.

dom is dowl over mandrel, (im pretty sure) this tube is supposed to have a uniform wall thickness throughout the tube, where as regular mild has variances throughout the length of tube. or may have a thicker spot where the tube is seam welded together

Drawn Over Mandrel, (DOM) doesn't have a welded seam.

Wrong. DOM is still welded but its more accurate for size / thickness because its drawn over a mandrel.

I think you're looking for seamless tubing. It is supposed to be much stronger.

Seamless > DOM > Std Tubing

google search for a fab shop in the area. Ask them to get you some. Expect around 5-7 a foot. Any more than would be to much.
