two way valve cr-v
I recently took my cr-v in to get an engine light scanned, they said it was with the evap etc. basically everything was rotting, anyway i got a parts list one was for a two way valve (part number 17371-s02-l01) and for a bypass sol.v set (part number 17072-s02-l00) .. i've been trying to find these parts online to see if i can get a better deal for them because i got a very good deal on a re manufactured power steering pump online for way less than what they wanted to charge me for it. I was just wondering if anyone knows if these are dealer specific parts ?
Ehhh...what year is your CRV?
I would get a second opinion on those little valves and such, you could just have a bad connection or a crimped hose or something. I've never heard of EVAP solenoids and valves going bad (but there's always a first time
).
If you end up needing them you can buy any OEM Honda parts online from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com, http://ww.slhondaparts.com, etc.

You are obviously not be a Honda technician. I see these go bad all the time. Just had an 07 Civic with 1200 miles with a bad Purge Control Solenoid.
The two way valves over time tend to rot away as they said. They get a build-up of white film that tends to cause a tricky intermittent DTC. I would suggest just buy factory. I dont think anybody makes these aftermarket.
