Default Problem with a set of KYB shocks

So I picked up a set of used KYB AGX shocks from a friend and all the shocks are in good working order except for one of the rear shocks. Since no springs are on them yet, I could push down and see the shock rods come back up. But for one of the rear shocks, it takes much longer for it to release and come back up. Adjusting the dampening of it works, but it still isnt releasing as fast as the other ones. Im pretty sure it isn't blown, but is there any way to get it to release quicker? I heard about some kind of lubricant that I could spray on it to make it release quicker. Any other suggestions?

This really isn't a valid method of "testing" dampers.

Yea I know but is there any types of lubricant I could put on so the releasing will become back to normal? or at least more smoother without lagging?
