if you drop your car on prokits....stock shocks are okay, right? I heard the 1.3" drop is suited to work work OE shocks so theres no need to replace them. Do you guys think the same is possible for h&r sports springs....will I be able to use my stock shocks with them??
thanks
thanks
I just installed the pro kit springs on my integra and they are perfect size drop and they work fine with the stock struts I just get a little bounces from time to time over soe bumbs but I drive a 94 integra ls so if you have a gsr I think your struts are better then mine. Plus my car hs 61K on it so less mile struts will hold up better. Hope I could help
I have 60K on mine right now....its a 2000 gsr. I'm still not sure about the drop though..idealy I'd like the kind of drop you get with H&R sports springs but odds are I'll need to get new shocks with those.

The stock shocks can be used for a little while, but they WILL eventually(fairly quickly) wear out. I would reccomend upgrading them with some quality aftermarket shocks(Koni yellows) in order to gain the most handling potential from them. Enjoy.
I had the Pro-Kits on my stick shocks for ~2.5 yrs. before I got my AGX's. The stockers are fine, for a while. Mine were still OK when I took them off, but I'm sure the lowering had taken its toll. My KYB's are much better, with less "mush".
stock struts should be fine w/ only a 1.3" drop. anything over 1.5" will probably be a little bouncy w/ stocks. I used Eibach's Sport kit (1.5"drop) w/ stock struts for about 20,000 miles w/ no prob. I would recomend upgrading to gas shocks a.s.a.p. the diff. is like night & day...

I used Neuspeed Sports on my stock shocks for 25k miles... the shocks are done. My car feels like it's floating now around corners and stuff. I have my new Konis on order!!!
So, yes you can use them, but they will die pretty quickly...

you can use your stock shocks with the prokits, however, if you are in it for performance, you are kinda short changing yourself by not buying shocks... if you need cost effective buy some kyb's --- if you have 500$, buy some koni's and corner with the best of them
