what are the advantages and disadvantages of changing vtech kik in?
i want to know wat would be for my car for wen my vtech to kik in. i have a d16z6 and vtech is like 5300 around there. wat would be ideal for street and track use?
First you would need to bore out that vtak solenoid before making any vtak changes and since its a D16z6 make sure you get some of those ultra cool 4 point harness and a roll cage because we all know how that D16z6 "kiks" ur disadvantage could be loosing ur left eye from all that jdm vtAk powaaaaa hope that helps
Personally I would chip your ECU. I have a 1992 Hatch with jdmd15b swap, chipped ecu Vtec at 4000,and launch control set at 3500 so full throttle launch. Its way sick trust me you gotta do it. Ripps

1.) VTEC, not vtech, v-tech or anything else like it. It's an acronym and needs to be spelled properly for it to have any meaning. It stands for variable timing and electronic lift control. If you find yourself confused as to its spelling, look at your valve cover or owner's manual.
2.) VTEC is set at the ideal point for a stock configuration straight from the factory. You don't need to mess with it unless you're running nitrous, forced induction of some sort or massive cams and compression. Adding an intake and exhaust will not make it necessary to change your VTEC crossover and, indeed, will result in loss of gas mileage and power throughout the powerband.
3.) Search more, talk less. This site is full of knowledge and we don't like hand-feeding every lazy *** who signs up and wants to know the basics. The "Search" button is red and underlined. Use it frequently.
