just wondering which cams you guys would choose in my situation. the car is a 2000 civic si with the stock b16. right now the car has just the basic bolt on, 3 inch intake with a velocity stack at the end, skunk 2.5 exhuast, omni test pipe, jdm itr header, b&m short shifter, act stage 1 clutch, pp, fidanza fly wheel, hondata intake manifold gasket, prothane mount inserts. The car is converted to obd1 running a chipped p30 ecu.
what i want to order are skunk2 pro1 camshafts, camgear, skunk2 proseries intake manifold, and skunk2 dual valvesprings.
are the pro1's an over kill for my stock compression? (planning on tuning with crome.)
or should i go with just the stage 1's...
future plans are to swap in a gsr block with itr standard bore pistons or maybe p30's..

you will need a lot more compression to use the pro 1's in a B16.
If you have stock compression you would be better of with skunk2 stage 1 or stage 2 tuner cams. Stage 2 will give you a better top end, but upgraded valvetrain is required.

He'll still see gains but not as much if he had higher compression, that he can do later... that way he wont have to get rid of the weak stage1 an purchase a more agressive cam.....but make sure you upgrade valve train an a vavle job an then you'll be getting good numbers

Hey, you should plan on getting the cams, valvesprings, retainers, injectors, and something like Hondata for the dyno tuning, unless you P30 comp can be retuned. What program are you running, all I see down there is that you made it OBD1. As fir a cam choice, I am running Blox b's (I believe the S2S2 equivalent). I'm really happy with them on my built gsr. If ya want to look at the graph it's in the dyno section of these forums. I believe it's the last page there.
