gas
In the Winter I'm getting about 280 miles on 12 gallons on an '07 Si. Cold temps, more idling, snow tires, and winter fuel additives definitely all make for worse MPG in the winter.

Or you could just divide the gallons it takes to fill up by the miles you drove on those gallons.
Miles ÷ Gallons = Miles Per Gallon

You lose 2 bars idling in 10 minutes? Are you exaggerating a HUGE amount or does your car literally need a refill in 20 minutes of DRIVING? There's something wrong if you run through bars at idle.

lol im not exaggerating i turned my car on to warm it up, went inside for ten mintues(longer than i expected to be inside for) and two full bars of gas were GONE.

Crack is some strong stuff
Was it full when you looked at it before going in and then 2 bars gone after you came out? I've seen the 2 top bars drop fast. It stays full for awhile then starts dropping.

Yeah, the bars stay full until between 30-50ish miles, usually, then you drop 2 bars within like 10 miles or less. In my experience. So I guess this is plausible...
mine tricks me into thinking that i'll get 400 miles to the tank (3/4 of the bars at 100 miles driven) then whizzes through the middle of the bars, but SAVES me by having the last two bars count for what seems to be forever! There have been a few times that i was preparing to walk the highway to the nearest gas station, only to find out that i had a good gallon or two left tin the tank!
I get 310-340 per tank (never have put more than 11 gallons worth in)
Avg. 26 MPG
But still, those bars are pretty inconsistent in my opinion.

I drive kinda hard and im getting 275 to 300 a tank. but i filled my car one time and was able to 14.4 gallons in to it. I may have just got riped off at the pump or it was bone dry???????

temps being hot or cold will depend on how much gas u can get from the pump and also how much gas you burn.

I've read that BP (Amoco fuels) ultimate gas is the only gas that is not intermixed with other gas. That is why I try to fill up at BP only.

I use Mobil 93 and as cold as it's been I'm averaging 315 miles on about 10.5 gal of gas or about 30 mpg. I must drive like a granny. If you're serious about loosing 2 bars idling for 10 minutes, I'd take it to the dealer....either way, why would you let your car just sit there and idle for 10 minutes? I start my Si, buckle up and drive off....I drive controlled till I have at least 3 bars on the temp guage.
nice lil thing about gas there chiggin. now i guess i should be pumping my gas slower lol. and it the morning not night. i hate waking up even earlier...
