Default For those that have 17's...

I am looking for a good performance tire with good wet capabilities (I live in Seattle) in a 205/40ZR-17. What do you guys recommend? What do you have?

Or Bridgestone S03s, if they come in that size. Excellent rain tire.

Kumhos suck for water IMO i have had them and they suck. The yoko paradas are real good and what I have now are the toyo proxes t1-s are the best tires I have ever had and still have.

well they're better wet than they are dry . dunlop sp's in whatever you can afford will do nicely. 8000's pretty much grip better wet and dry thank ecsta 712's and they came out to $6 more for the set. They supposedly wear faster thought (200 v 280). I guess I'll see

my 712s grip great, you are all crazy. Not saying other tires suck. Just that they are a HUGE implovement from stock.

I've had SP9000 since April. They have been very good in the rain. I even took them up to Whistler in the middle of a storm.

You have got to be kidding, XGT-V4's are the WORST tire I've ever owned!

i have the Kumho 712s on my 17s and Azenis for autocross on a set of 14s. i had to run one event on the kumhos and it went pretty well. so far my driving with them in the wet has been fine. for the money, i don't think you can do better than the kumho 712s. for more than double the price, the S03s are probably a little better, but are they worth the difference in price? that's for you to decide, but there are plenty of bmw/porsche, etc. owners that put kumhos on when their bridgestone/pirelli oem tires wear out and never turn back.

I agree AMAZING wet/dry tires.... I dunno what JDMCRVTEC is talking about, I had these tires for 10k miles and they still grip like crazy in near hurricane rains to just the ground wetting rains.

SECOND THAT!
AND..................................they run about $70/tire compared to about $120+ for the others! It just doesn't make sense!

Well... I got my 17's as a package deal, but I got a good quality tire.(Faulken) I would definetly recommend Faulken tires definetly stick to the pavement!!!
