b18b into 98 gsr, got cel code 54
i swapped a 99 b18b into a 98 gsr shell, now i have cel 54 showing up. i don't remember the wrecked ls that the engine came out of having a cel, so i'm thinking it's wiring related. for those of you that have done this swap, did you have to do any rewiring? code 54 is Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation Sensor. the car runs fine, but the cel is annoying.
i've been trying to find diagrams comparing the shock tower wiring of the 98+ ls and gsr and couldn't, so if someone has these post them up.

I've read about it already but I'm hoping to fix it the proper way. Would doing the ckf fix affect my engine at all if the engine has the ckf?

sorry for the late response.... No, you should not, WILL NOT have any problems w/ your engine, car, ecu or otherwise. I've done this to 2 odb2a D16y8's w/o any hint of problems.

so i just tried the ckf fix and the cel is still there. yes i've reset the ecu. the engine runs for a second or two and the light comes back on. any more ideas? i disconnected the sensor just in case that affects anything, and that hasn't helped. the splices i did made look ok.
