what one should i use?
ive put it together with a gsr and itr so far, and they are both long, go pedal will only open the butterflys about 1.4 of the way and is loose.
is it just something needing to be adjusted in the linkage on the itb's? or do i need a different cable?
thanks for the help...

yeah i actually just read that, and looked at what the PO of my itb's used and it appears that whats on there is the ex cable, and its too long. gonna try the gsr cable again tomorrow, i was tired and i have a feeling i slapped it together wrong.

not on crack, but it is all of 8 degrees out so the garage is a little chilly lol.
but yeah thats the cable thats too long, i didnt get under the itb's to look at adjustments, but the pedal is definetgly only about a 1/4 of the way up.
d-rob said he used a gsr cable, so ill try that tomorrow.

lright so i have the gsr cable on and adjusted out as far as i can get it

and the pedal is still loose and only opens the butterflys about half way...although its better than the ex cable that didnt even open them,.
i think im not understanding how the adjustments work on the butterfly linkage with the little collar...
any insight anyone?

You can put spacers (washers) around the pedal end of the cable. First you'll want to pick the cable that fits the best. After that, cut a slit on one side of several small washers to put on the inside end of the cable. When you have spaced the cable correctly, use some electrical tape to hold the washers in position. The reason that "Integra Type R's" cable doesn't work on your car is because you have an EK chassis and not an EG/DC chassis. They have slightly different pedals. Good luck with the ITB's.

man right here caught what i didn't.. i gave u that cable thinking it was going into a em1 or dc setup.. that cable is perfect for it..use a gsr cable should fit almost perfectly.. but his idea works too.

yeah sorry haha i thought you knew i had an ek...no biggie.
d-rob mentioned he had to remove the pedal stop on the floor, but i believe he has a dx, and my pedal stop is on the back of the pedal. im gonna try the washers, cuz its opening about halfway, enough that i could move the car atleast but not optimal obviously.

I just read the thread and was thinking to myself - well you have an EK and he had a DC so the cable wouldnt work. But you already figured it out.
Its either a good thing that i have a memory that can retain such usless info - like what kind of cars random users own, or really sad that I am on HT that much to even know it . . .
Good luck

well i know this is ghetto as hell but this actually works. im waiting for the jb weld to dry so they dont slip around. i notched em all in like 5 minutes with my air grinder. the video below is how far they were opening (id say atleast 75% if not more) with about 8 washers...so i added 2-3 more and i shouldbe pretty close. i think its gonna hold me for nowsince i need to get the car out of the garage and make sure my fuel lines are good, i may still try to remove the pedal stop.

i used a 95 EX throttle cable. it was good... but after a month, the cable stretched, and i got another one. that might be the case. ive seen 2 cars with that issue.... both with TWM ITBs.
