How many people tire of Altezza tailight.. Im tired of hearing people say Carbon Fiber Altezza tailight look damn tight.. WHat the hell and it is fake carbon fiber.. Also I dont like the car have Z3 fenders.. How many people hate Z3 fenders... Oh also Im tired of seeing the flame stickers on the side of the car and make it look fast.. DAmn Im tired of see the gallery of Altezza tailight on every car... HOw many people hate it.. What else you hate.. Let me know

I look at in a long-term kinda way. Cars that we consider classics now were once trendy cars, most likely modified, kinda like our favorites . But now; 30, 40, 50.... however many years later, the cars that are the most stock, the most original, are the most valuable. I really think that because of the civics popularity, it will one day be considered a classic. I will relate my stories of driving the ol' civic around the same way my dad always talked of his old 350s and such. I already have mine, and keeping it's apperance (engine is another story ) OEM.
In 30 years people might say: "Hey, I just refurbished a clasic 94' civic."

 

Except me, of course. But, I don't post pictures of my car asking people what they think, because I don't care.

I got them first after I saw Lisa Kubo's hatch. I thought they looked "interesting". I put them on, and have been happy ever since.

To me, it's partly the culture of "annoy the competition". I love thrashing Mustangs with a $13000 (total cost) car. The ricer taillights just punctuate the pain.

Yes and no. A stock '57 chevy ain't worth snot. These were the tuner muscle cars of the late 1950's. But, stock, they aren't worth anything...

UNLESS...they are all original, with numbers matching restoration (original motor, original parts, nothing replace). Why? This is rare.

Also, there are rare "combinations" of engines/transmissions and options packages that could be ordered from the factory. These are also valuable if in some sort of original condition.

Modified cars can also be worth lots, if the changes are desirable. 57 chevy's with new Corvette motors have found a home on the auction block. Some body and equipment changes are considered "unique" and have increased the value of the car, if done tastefully. New electronic dashes have found a home in this market.

Anyway, there is not a definate rule of "stock is more valuable". A stock, orignial, all parts matching Porsche 928 isn't worth very much, nor is a Ford Pinto. Why? Oddballs. Out of sorts in the collector market, and not considered very valuable. No hard and fast rules concerning value.

The way they LOOK is subjective of course. It's not for me. What I dislike most about them is the abysmal quality of most of them. If you're DOWNGRADING the quality of parts that you put on your car, then you're not making it better, are you?

If you guys watched the Barrett Jackson Auction back in January, the cars that drew the highest bids were the nostalgia hot rods. 30's cars with mods that were hot in the 50's. Hold onto to that riced out Civic for 50 years or so and you could be sitting on a gold mine.

 

Yeah ... Civics will be .. man i better keep my si only 15,000 made .. hell think about it a NSX or s2000. Or the ultra rare CTR .

There is a stock TAN accord rolling around with a terminator II (i think it is anyway) spoiler, with painted yellow sideskirts front/rear lip, sideview mirrors, and has regular altezza taillights with TURBO INSIDE (intel logo) STICKER on the altezza's!! also has super street stickers and APC stickers and the dude actually thinks it's cool!!!

I have a pictures of the car because i just so happen to have my digital camera.

yes... i hate Z3 fenders.
yes... i hate stickers.
yes... i hate body kits. (well, for the most part)
yes... i hate most wings.
yes... i hate pep boys mufflers.

but if that's your thing... it's alright me. that just meens there's less modded cars out there that look like mine.
i'd never walk around someone's car telling them the things that i hate, i'd give them props for the things i do like and leave it at that.

I hate'em too!! damn they're everywhere even on trucks and ****!! and then there's them damn windshield washer lights now! hell if you ask me all that stuff is kinda FOB-ish!! only peeps who don' t know what the hell they're doing puts all that crap on and a whole bunch of nasty looking mismatching colored stickers on their cars!! i hate it...i hate it...i hate it!! and i hate imports with more than a pair of freaking fog lights!! saw one with 3 pairs!!


now how about stock tail lights with transparent black paint? well that's what i've got...goes nicely with my black civic.

 

New Lexus SUV's come with altezza-styled taillights on 'em.....

HAHAH yeah the true.. One time I was driving on the highway with my gf and I saw the double pair of fog lights.. The light was soo bright and I slow down my car to check out what car is it.. IT IS MUSTANG....... My God HE put all APC stickers all over the windows and the Washer lights on the hood.. WHAT THE hell is that.. He proud of what he had on his car... WHAT A RETARD!!!!

Considering Toyota makes Lexus, and the Toyota Altezza is pretty much the same as the LEXUS IS300 badged under Lexus for the US market. Wonder why they have "Altezza-styled" taillights, weird
