Default Has anybody gotten a ticket with the Greddy Evo exhaust on their Gsr?

My brother just got three tickets today. 1) no license plate. 2) exhaust too loud. 3) too low. what a bunch of crap. has anyone gotten a ticket for their Evo being too loud? where can I get the paper work to prove that the Evo is legal, so my brother can fight this one? The car is still registered in my name so the tickets are going to sent to me.

I think you can get 2 of the 3 dismissed. but if that dont work, hire a lawyer... on your court date, the judge just goes STAMP STAMP STAMP- all dismissed!

i have an evo on my gsr and no ticket yet. did your brother get pulled over for something else and got fix-it tickets. i got pulled over for speeding and then they fined me $10 for no front plate. this was on my accord. all the things you listed above should be fix-it tickets

was this all at one time or 3 different times

The EVO itself is CARB legal, not noise legal in some cases, it all depends on the car, if you have an intake, header, and a test pipe that bitch is gonna be way too loud and you'll get a ticket. As far as a ticket for license plate=gay. And being too low?! WTF, are you riding the ground? How low are you?

Yea, I'm thinking the same thing. Or maybe the cop saw he had no license plate so that motha sucka decided to give him two pointless tickets. But some cops are cool...just MOST aren't.

I got a ticket last fall for my exhaust at the time.. greddy evo.. But i was also running a jdm header with test pipe and i had a exhuast leak at test pipe...

Evo's do have the carb sticker on the can and if you call up where you purchased the exhuast from, they can get a certificate from greddy stating that it is 50 state legal..

When i went to court, the judge asked if my loud exhaust was fixed, i replied yes, and it was dismissed...

good luck

The EVO isn't THAT loud, but it is still noticeable. You'd probably only get a ticket if the cop is a total dick. It's not too bad...it's the people with universal mufflers on pipes that are loud as ****.

Lolz or maybe his brother lives/drives in Fremont, Ca...

I got cited for no front plate (it was between my windshield and dash inside)... clear corners/front turn signals (he said it was non DOT approved lighting/lenses... clear corners w/ PIAA hyperwhites), he wanted to cite me for my Greddy exhaust but I showed him all the paper work and he didn't write it up but he said it was loud... also cited me for improper lighting (red license plate lights.. I wanted the rear of the cars lights to be all red (brakes, turn signals, license plate.. ) and the front all white (headlights, turn signals, etc.. ).. so he cited me for that...

Put on the front license plate and it will only cost $5. How low is the car, measure from the light to the ground. And put back the stock exhaust. THere is a vehicle code that says you can't modify your exhaust to make it louder.
Show your paper work to the judge it wont work believe me.

First off, the no front plate ticket is a $10 fix it ticket, just put in back on the front.
Second, when he measured your car, how low was low? What did he use to measure it? Was the ground level? Did he say how how below the legal limit was your car? If I remember correctly, the headlights must be at least 22inch off the ground.

Third, the Greddy Evo exhaust. Just go back to the place where you bought the exhaust. Greddy provides a 50 state legal sticker and PAPERS which show that the exhaust is smog and sound legal. If you did not get this, go back to the shop where you bought it from and ask them or contact Greddy. On the court date, make sure you take lots of clear pictures of the rear of your car w/ the license plate showing, the exhaust tip with the Greddy logo. Show this to the judge along with the Greddy papers.
