steering rack is humming, can anything be done besides replacing the rack?

steering rack is humming, can anything be done besides replacing the rack?
my steering rack has started making a humming noise when turning. it started when i had ps taken out, now i've put ps back in and the noise is still there. can anything be done to the rack besides replacing it?

When you pulled the ps did you run some lines from the rack to a resivoir with fluid or did you just loop the line? Sounds like you may have damaged the rack from lack of lubricant.

yeah i had the lines t'd to an extra clutch resevoir. my brother still has the exact same setup in his integra and his rack isn't making any noise.
