Default Power Window Issue

1996 Integra SE

When I roll down my driver side window, the metal bar leaves the plastic part. I tried using epoxy and jb weld (had it laying around), but whenever I roll down the window, it will just break apart and come off. It makes a clanking noise when going up and down. Sometimes it gets stuck in the middle. I think the bar hits the power window roller and gets stuck. I can only take apart the door panel so I can't see much of what is going on inside. This happened after the guy doing my alignment closed my door a lot of times with the window rolled down. Anyone have a clue how to fix this?

If the plastic piece stays attatched to the window then maybe the bolt just loosened and came out of the regulator (the metal part). If you get your door panel off, reach inside and feel around the bottom of the door for a loose bolt. The window bolts onto the regulator at that plastic clip (there are two of them), my guess is one fell out.

The plastic piece is actaully supposed to be attached to the window. Once you have figured that out then you just need to bolt the window to the regulator with short 10mm bolt.

hey bro i just gone done fixing my window on my 95 ls

that plastic piece cracked and broke off and and a guy said that they dont just sell the plastic clips

so i glued it with gorrila glue and it held tight

but when i rolled it done it made this loud noise like it was bumbing into something then it kinda came off the track so i had to take it all apart again!!

but then tighting all the screws super tight and working good so far

The plastic piece stays on the window.

Does it bolt from the bottom of the metal piece? How do I get access to bolt it on? I don't have any space to work with besides from the crack in the picture. Is there any way to take that metal panel off?

I just checked my regulator and there are no holes on it for me to put a bolt through it and there are no holes for me to screw it into on the plastic part either. I checked my haynes manual and it's different than what I have on my car.

Scratch that. I was looking at the wrong place
I wasn't able to see the bolts looking from at at the top. Got it fixed! Thanks guys
