Default are the ex and lx TCU the same for 96-97?

I want to swap heads and ecus for vtec and a lower mileage head, but i was just wondering if the TCU is the same for the EX as it is for the LX. I would assume so since the transmissions are the same, but just figured i'd make sure.

96-97 Accords don't have a separate TCU (well 4-cylinders anyway). Transmission control is inside the ECU. If you are going VTEC you will need to get a new ECU.
