Default need help with direction (f20b)

well i finally may have some money to spend on the accord this year .

im workign on another (different ) itb setup this year .

heres where im kinda stumped.
now the itbs are 48mm
exuast is gettign up graded to mandrel (no more crush bends )
so the question is should i spend my money on a good header (leaning towards hytech or smsp) get the exasut goign better .

or buy a crappy header i can hack up and put a bigger collector on , and get cams and valvetrain . then get a better header if i can scrounge up more money .
(cam choices are between skunk 2 pro2 or rocket h24x , compression will go up to 12:1 ,but only if i do the cams .)

just trying to figure out what would net me a better set up . cams and a choked up header . or free everythign up and do the cams later .

the cams/VT are goign to cost a bit less then header .

any thoughts

thanks guys

Buzzwords aside size your header for the power you intend to make. If you only want 200whp then get a DC and mod the collector. It's about a grand less than a nice SMSP or Hytec that will give you a little top end over the POS DC.

If you intend to make 230 or more then you should consider the custom header. If you stick with the stock Type-S equivalent cams I think that making much more than 200 on a 2.0 liter will be a challenge. But I guess that's conjecture I've never tuned an F20B.

heres what i dont understand .

there is tons oif threads about b20-v makiing over 200whp with cookie cutter builds .

the f20b is very very close in spec . yet has a mch better flowing head .........why would it be so hard . know what i mean . i may be missing somthing ,

unless you were just talking about the type s cams . , my motor is an auto motor , so cams are a important .....

in the end i would love to make over 200whp . depending on how these itbs go that i am making (much imporved from the last set as far as runner sizing/anlge into the head and injector placment ) i ithn it could happen .

To get your power goal of 200 whp going to take a lil doing with the F20B...

ITB's is a good start, p28 crome/hondata, pro 1's my guess get you around 180 mark... pro 2's would need atleast 12-1 compression and should get you 200... stick with the stock F20B valves not sure there is any aftermarket stock sized valves for the F20B, H22A valves a 1mm larger.

A good header would be crucial... check out ours that we offer...
