Valve Springs and Retainers

Ok, so here's the deal. We have the tool or whatever, BUT the tool involves taking off the head and I really don't want to do that basically because I don't have time. I leave on Sunday for Israel...anyways, soooo question would be, how the hell can you get them off easily with the head still attached? I have Toda valve springs and retainers to replace them with. What tool do I need to use while the head is still attached (valve cover is off ob.) QUICK REPLIES NEEDED!!!!

can that be used while the head is still on? anything that I can home make by any chance like I said, leaving for israel in like 3 days and don't have a ton of time...then i'm off in Virginia for college till March lol and I live in Michigan

Yea I think I read about people doing that. We have impact tools and junk...just a matter of getting them off and o with the toda :-)
ya you can use that tool while the head is still on...use compress air to put it into the cylinder so it will hold up the valves so it doesnt fall in while your compress the valvespring

you have to fill the cylinder with air, then you can rent the appropriate valve spring comressor the grabs onto the valve spring from any autozone or checker i believe. you can also buy if from sears
