World's Fastest EP3 SFWD Chassis?
Just ran into this across the pond wondering if this car is actually it though. It seems as if the car is built according to basic SFWD rules.

He might not have been using the dogbox during that pass, it doesn't sound like it. They also have the straight cuts listed on the site as under developement.

The car is road legal and takes part in the UK HKS drag series.
08 should see at least 3 other EP3’s breaking mid to low 10’s.
I guess it’s a long way behind you guys in the US but in the UK we have only one good track (SantaPOD raceway).
He ran the time with less than 500bhp (That’s UK at the flywheel)

The Grey EP3 is my car. As far as I know its the World's fastest EP3 - at the moment anyway.
We have a set of rules over here based on the SFWD rules you guys have, although their are slightly different we are sticking to the US rules - Perhaps at the end of the year if we can run under 10 sec we will come over to the East coast and compete in some sort of event. We will see how things go.
The Silver car is my tuners 'CPL Racing'.
Nothing fancy about my setup really:-
Boost by gear
Stock 6 speed box
CPL Turbo kit with 500bhp + 100 of nitrous.
Built K20 engine with stock sleeves
I need to change into 5th - can only go 120 in 4th (9200rpm limit). Guy is built up his 1st dogbox and testing is starting soon. Should give us a good base to make some more power and try and dip into the 9's.

Yea look the same - totally different setup and engine spec.
Guy has a 2.3, fully built and sleeved.
Slightly bigger turbo and used a quaife Dogbox - ratios are way off but it held together better than a stock one.
It will be interesting when his new gearbox is available - there has been quite alot of interest from both the UK and the US.

Is he developing just a gear box for the forced inducted or will he also be putting out a box for naturally aspirated aswell?

Hi James - nice to hear from you again. I need to get around to ordering a set for the front to match
Initially the gearbox is being developed for forced induction in mind. I am not sure of any of the specifics like gear ratios etc. If it all goes well and if there is enough interest different ratios etc might well become available to accomidate n/a too.
We should have more data to share by Feb - I will of course post as much information as CPL Racing allow me to.
