car making noise
when i go in reverse my car makes a slightly high pitched rubbing noise and then when i go in drive it makes a higher pitch medal rubbing against medal noise its worrying me and i think it is the brakes. I located the sound coming from the front left wheel of my car. This noise occurs only when i am not touching the brakes, if i am it goes away. If it is the brake on the front left wheel, then should i just get that one replaced or both the front brake pads. Help a brotha out
Take your wheel off and look at your brake pads. Sometimes when your brakes are really worn and there is no pad left then it is metal on metal and it makes a screaching sound. Oh ya, if your pads are gone your rotors are probably gone too. How many miles do you have on your car? And when was the last time you had a brake job done?
