its kinda like a thin abercrombie shirt is like 50$, when u can get a pack of fruit of the loom (also very thin) t-shirts in a 3 back for 5$.. one of those things..

If I recall correctly, the original price was close to 90000 Yen. The piece is completely cosmetic. Basically you were paying for the name and the cost associated with a limited production piece.
