Just raced the http://www.24hoursoflemons.com race @ thunderhill .Car is a 88 4dr civic with a d16z6 with a si cable trans and broke the trans .Broke the differential carrier bearings which had a plastic holders on the bearings at least that is what fell out when pulled axle out .So we swaped trans at 10pm at night between race days the other trans had metal carriers. so I have the z6 hydro trans which looks bigger and a little heavier so is it better ????

 

Stuff a hydro diff into the cable trans.

 

so does that mean the hydro better ?

 

Hydro diffs are stronger.
