Opinions on Wideband to be used with Hondata S300
Which wide band do you experienced tuners suggest for someone to use with an S300 unit?
I was looking at AEM, Innovative, or PLX. They seem to be the most commonly used and liked of them.
Do you need the actual GAUGE if you use an Innovative? I've seen some packages being sold that use the Innovative LC-1.
What would you guys suggest? I'm really leaning toward the Innovative, but would really like to hear from you experienced guys!

Funny you should suggest AEM...b/c one tuner told me that they weren't as accurate as Innovative or PLX. I was initially looking at an AEM, and started looking elsewhere when I heard that.
I appreciate the quick reply, though!

plx has always worked well for me. I also use my innovates a lot, but they have broken quite often on me. They always repair them for free though so its not a big deal.

PLX hands down. Their sensors are not too expensive and you won't be replacing them all the time like the AEM sensors.
plx is all we sell and use.
i use it on my personal car, we use it on customer cars, we use it on the dyno.
like anthony said, the sensors arent expensive to replace, and rarely will you have to do it anyway.
personally we havent seen good results from the aem widebands, well just aem electronics in general i guess.

NGK or FJO. i use both nearly every day with S200-S300. sensors on both systems have lasted over a year each, and have been verified that they are still acurate frequently with my back up sensors.
cant say the same for aem, plx, or innovate unfortunatly.
most any wideband seems to hold up fine on unleaded fuel. seeing how long they last with leaded fuel is the true test.

Does Bosch make the PLX sensor? Can the PLX kit work with the Cobalt Autometer gauge? I'm going to be installing Cobalt Autometer gauges all around for my project and would like to keep them all the same. Thanks!
The sensors are made by bosch or NLK (ngk). The bosch are cheaper and don't last quiet as long as the nlk but you can't beat the price imo. My bosch sensor lasted about 10k miles and I ran leaded gas probably half the time if not more. Lead will definantly kill the senor faster then unleaded. Also you can pickup the bosch sensors for the PLX units through VW (used on their new turbo cars) for a resonable price.
Defiantely go with PLX. Its a great and accurate product and hondata reccomends people to use them with their units. If a company like hondata says use this product, its usually for a reason.
