You drive in "gangster lean" position too close to the door?
That's weird. If it persists with no one in the car I'd have Honda take a look at it.

Damn I better quit that...jk.

Got this from another user

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by mrbill &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">From the Owner's Manual:

2 - SIDE AIRBAG OFF

This indicator alerts you that the passenger’s side airbag has been automatically shut off. It does not mean there is a problem with your side airbags.

When you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position, the indicator should come on briefly and then go off (see 58). If it doesn’t come on, stays on, or comes on while driving without a passenger in the front seat, have the system checked [emphasis mine].

This sucks...

Make sure you have had all your recalls done to the OPDS unit. If it continues with nothing in the seat then just take it back to the dealer, thats what it's for.

When I got my Si they told me about a sensor on the chair that reads and calculates weight so it can know if theres a kid or a package on the seat, and when it does it turns off the side airbag. Its supose to be normal but Im not sure.

It went away the day after it came on. Getting checked anyways...

Same on my 2007 but only the little emblem stays on.....had appointment to take to Honda, but light went out and they said they could not troubleshoot unless light was on. It is now back on and seems to be associated with moving seats fwd/aft or seatbacks Story from Honda says that it does not mean bags are primed to deploy but more that they may NOT deploy in an accident. Will try to get it back in while symbol is illuminated.
