Plain and simple.

I can move the motor by hand like 3-4 inches foward and 3-4 inches backwards, is that normal??? and when I come off the clutch quick it sounds like something hit the firewall.

I dunno what I did to my car today could you give me a clue ?

your motor should not give 3-4 inches ...

sure sounds like motor mount = dead

I don't hear or feel much difference while driving only a quick stop motion or launching action get the thunk sound...

and as for the motor moving I am lost on this... its really a couple of inches each way 3- or 4 maybe closer to 4?

 

Dude, I get the same thing (klunking). Anyone's guess as to whether it's the front or rear mount?

 

any suggestions? thoughts? anything?

 

Look at your mounts while a buddy moves the engine around with a bar. Find the one that's busted and replace it. They are all easy to get to, with the exception of the rear one.

would it be a warrenty item?, I only have 28,000 miles and 2.5 years left...

We do have 4/50 right?

try looking at your drivers side front mount, the bolt has backed out on my car before.

 

its prolly the rear one

i busted my rear motor mount..

 

na the bolt looks ok and I'm unable to see the rear bolt thanks. I guess when I go in to the dealer next time I'll have them check it out...
