Are those Ebay Projector lights worth bolting on?
Hey, are those Ebay projector sets worth the plastic they are molded with? I have a foggy factory light that gets a little moisture inside and was curious what kind of luck you guys have had with the majority of $100 projector sets on the market? They junk? decent? lemme know. ..

Judging by this post, I wouldn't get them if I were you. I'm sure you can do a search here or on Team-Integra.net and find a write up on how to re-seal your headlights......and clear them up

I kind of had a feeling that was the case. Most of the stuff on ebay like the $49 headers i figured were not only worse than the stock parts, buying them was similar to holding dollars over a campfire.

Why don't you find something more then stock? Like a black housing if that would look good on the car. Or some HID or angel eyes. If you have to buy new ones why not buy up?
Junk indeed. I was in the same position as you are but I had broken tabs instead of moisture problems. The lighting output on ebay projectors are very crappy compared to that of oem quality. There is a lot of glare that is released through the lens and the output does not compare with original lighting. Spend the cash and get oem housings and projectors. You will not regret it.
The JDM front end does look sick and i much prefer it to the twin lamp US look. What's a complete comversion going for these days anyway?

Damn, i had a feeling that was the case. I'm already in this thing more than i planned on. 97-GSR with 137k $3000, Konig Feathers & Federal 595 tires $650, Edelbrock Header $300, Stereo $600 {lots of ebay parts made it cheap} Pads & Rotors $200, Tokico HP kit $360 and i've had the car for like two months now. I paid what seemed to be a very good price for the car only to start tossing cash at it like i somehow told myself i wasn't going to do with this ride lol...I'm sure more is comming, i have to run this thing in the spring and figure out how much HP it will take to click high 14's. I wouldn't think it would be too hard. I'll probably have a cat-back on by the time the track opens to compliment the header that's now on order. We'll see what that does before i whip out my porting tools on the factory manifold and or go Performer x if need be.

Ummm.....well....you know.....when people FIRST started selling the JDM front ends, the NON-HID OEM front ends were about $3000. The HID front end was $4500. At the time it would have been cheaper to get the fiberglass conversion kit for about the price you would expect to pay nowadays for the OEM conversion kit.
$1500 for a non HID front end is not bad. $2000 + give or take a few hundred....for an HID front end...is also NOT bad. I just wish I would have waited

--- DO NOT DO THAT! I will honestly bust your face if i see you rice out your car.
Check out my build thread, and look @ my Retrofitted headlights. I'm using Retrofit w/Color Mod- 05' TSX 'Clear' Projectors, Hella GenIII Ballast, D2S OSRAM Xenarc 4300k, Wiring Harness.
And for those ebay headlights, they are not good @ all. If you are having fogging problems, plan on having a monsoon inside your headlight. The only thing those headlights are good for, are the clear lense they have. But besides for that, they always fog up and always have water in them.
Stay oem. the PNP hid kits from ebay are ****, not worth spending money on them. You will end up getting pulled over and spending more money in the long run. Anything above 6k is unnecessary and stupid. If gofastgokart99 knew anything about lighting he would know that the higher the K, the crappier the usable light. Just look @ my retrofit in my build thread, (in my signiture) and you will see how mine look.
visit http://www.hidplanet.com !!! for all your lighting needs, they are dope.
