Default rev limit on 96 teggy with boost???

ok so im about to boost my 96 integra ls, block wise it is bone stock!!! how much boost can i get outa it with out it blowing up...i got a 16g turbo with an internal wastegate....(about 7lbs) will it be able to handle it?? ALSO A MAIN CONCERN IS REVING!! i got a conversion harness to OBD1 and a reflashed ecu with the rev limit moved to 8.2K...ive never took it that far......only once when i missed a gear....will the motor be able to handle the extra revs with boost??? i see people everyday rev there stock ls/vtecs to that same number....or should i just put back my old OBD2 ecu??? thanks in advance guys....any bit of info helps..

Do not rev your car past the stock redline.

You should be fine with running 7lbs of boost but just get your car tuned.

The reason people with an ls/vtec can rev higher is because the vtec heads have better valvesprings which will help prevent from dropping a valve. Even with the vtec head and stiffer valve springs it is not recommended to rev to high because the ls rod bolts are known to go out under higher rev's.

I wouldn't even consider reving a stock ls to 8200 rpms. That's just asking for trouble. 7 psi should be fine with that turbo but it really goes back to the tuner. Don't cheap out when it comes to tuning. Do it right, keep the stock redline, and you will be one happy camper

Just like the last 2 people said, tunning is an important factor. If you get it dyno tunned, which you should, then you can figure out where your car stops producing power and where you should shift.

Technically you can tune with SAFC, but I would not recomment it

Do not skimp out on proper tunning. Convert to OBD1 and run a piggy back if you have too.

ooh one more question.....how would i be able to change my boost? since it has an internal waste gate.....can i just get a boost controller and tune the boost up or down? or would i have to mod the turbo to accept a external waste gate?
