Lots of searching, 4.40 FD or 4.7 FD for jdm gsr on 75 shot.

My car trashed the final drive the other day and now it time for a new one. Ive heard great things about the jdm itr final drive but is it going to be too much acceleration for my car?
I rarely run my car at the track so 99% of the time its street tires. As of now, first gear spins and second does most of the way through, when im on the bottle. Off of the bottle, it spins a little in first but not much.
Is it going to be worth the shorter gears if im just going to spin my *** off? Gas mileage and cruising rpm's are no worry. If the jdm FD is my route i am going to do an LS fith gear.
For daily driving and some track use, whats my better option?
Jdm itr FD with LS 5th gear or just stick with my gsr 4.40?
Ive been doing tons and tons of searching on the FI and all motor forums, and it seems like the crowd is pretty much split down the middle
Note: non-lsd

i figured it would. espcially considering im probably staying open differential
actually I think the 4.78 final drive will work better... the 4.40 is goin to be long and considering a stock GSR with 75 shot your probably in the 220-250 hp range...I know an allmotor car than had a 4.40 that made 250hp finished the quarter mile in 3rd gear where as that same car with a 4.78 finished in 4th gear...I think the 4.40 would work better for a high hp boosted car...
I have the 4.785 type r final drive and love it. I have a stock jdm b18c bottom end and ctr intake cam, with skunk2 manifold and 68mm t/b. I was spraying a 100 shot on 23 in m&h's on lensos. I was shifting into 4th before the 1/8 mile with that setup. Oh and i'm revving to 9k. Car really felt good though and moved very nice.
It makes a big difference in how the car feels on motor too. Oh and i actually have the same gearing the type r transmission has too. The 4.785 final drive in a gsr transmission makes it pretty much the exact same as b16 tranny. My 1st 2nd and 3rd gears are shorter...

On street tires its gonna be kinda tough, and as far as the 250 n/a HP is concerned this is a whole different kind of animal. Tho it may have less HP, nitrous creates torque, alot, and its instantaneous.
Alot of the problem is street tires, I would throw in an LSD while your doing it?
I'm sorry I can't help i have no experience with n2O on a stock GSR tranny, but I can say that if u were to throw some slicks on when u go to the track, then why not go for the shorter gearing? It will make ur daily driving more responsive to boot.

basically if i hit it in second, mid rpm, on a gsr trans its at the revlimiter.
Jdm Gsr from hmotors
skunk2 stg.1 cams
blox intake mani
hytech header
Hondata s300
exedy clutch
hasport mounts
Slicks might be a different story, but street tires it doesnt catch traction until third. Plus, in the future im looking for boost and the way this is, i dont see it having any more traction. I was supposed to pick up a 4.40 FD today but dude flaked out

what kind of street tires do you have? My car didn't loose traction starting off in second on the street, that's on motor, and i had a very similar setup... Most of the time it wouldn't even break loose starting in second with nitrous.
