Is anyone interested in sharing some of their All-Motor tunes with the community?
This could either be in the form of screen shots or possibly a seperate location that would host the files for download.
I am not interested in sharing the files for actual use but more along the lines of what does ad does not work. Even looking at how different combinations react to different amounts of timing and fuel. As every application reacts differently to fuel and timing none of these would be recommened for actual use by another motor.
What got me on this topic was looking a few different tunes I currently have using Crome Pro, my along with D-Rob's WOT timing is very flat from about 5000 on only changing ~ 2deg on a high compressio Pro2 motor. Then I have seen 12NV's screen shot having a much better timing curve but I believe he is on race gas.
Through greater communication comes greater sucess.
Does anyone have any decent screen shot programs?

You have my old CROME .bin on file still?
E-mail me a copy, if you do.
My newest Neptune RTP calibration also only changes 2-degrees at WOT on the high cam, although I have not seen the dyno in a LONG time.
For reference, here is my high-cam timing.

The values are a little higher than what most people are used to seeing, coming from CROME.

With the OEM based computers it will be hard to do this objectively because of the sometimes unlisted ignition compensations in older versions of some programs. Not to mention if people have incorrect base timing, engines that are out of time, fuel pumps that are lacking, etc...
If you find your self with a fuel curve that matches your torque curve somewhat closely and an ignition curve that either stays flat or increases a little bit at higher rpms you are probably in the ball park and the dyno will tell the rest.

12nv's high cam timing map found on another post of his. I was wrong about it having much of a curve seems to be on par with the others i have seen. 1 2 PM me if you would like it taken down.
I believe the base timing map on crome, is what leads to the low timing numbers when using it. I am not sure if they are inaccurate or not included on the stock map.
I thought the rule of thumb was to decrese timing after peak TQ to carry it a little longer?

i think this a good idea.
i'm building an AM LSV and would like to share my mods and see if someone else out there that is close to mine could "share" their .bin with me.
considering i've never used tuning software before and the closest dyno is 3 hours away.
i'd like to be able to drive it there with a good baseline A/F ratio w/o leaning it out

stock internal h22a that i tuned the other day:

and this is the high cam base that i am using for the h23vtec:

i will update my post with another high cam map once it gets on the dyno.
we talked over AIM about the issues you were having with crome. I experienced them with bubba's h22. But then again, ive never seen a stock internal h22 want vtec to engage at 4300....so...yea...

i have several basemaps that others have sent me in the past. i think its a great idea to share what we have.
BTW: i have no problems with my timing map being up. im on racegas and we did no changes to the timing map that day. besides i posted it to be shared.
now that i have all my stuff back i will be doing more this year as far as dyno tuning. i have a new IM to try out and some bigger cams to boot.

lemme see what I can do
I have quite..quite a few bins from my local tuners ranging from stock motors with bolt ons to mildly built motors.
I also have my itb tunes i've done as well as my most recently PX Setup and my old Skunk2 manifold setup i'd love to share if u got a ftp i'll contribute a good bit.

wow you made me count all my bins.. i got 406 different bins from different cars... not much but i bet it would help a little someone.
thats only on this laptop which is fairly new only about 9 months old. i'll check the backup of the other.

This was definatly not meant to supply any base maps for untuned cars. NO MAP will be safe for use on your car. Have it towed to your dyno or risk serious damage.

allright guys. I got a little space we can use for this.

make sure to choose "Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer" from the view menu if you want to contribute.Alternately you can type the address directly into windows explorer. You will be able to download without logging in.
This will be pretty open for right now,
user name and password to make changes/upload .bin files (sorry for the long username)
username:u45176878-honda-tech
password:honda-tech
Just make a folder with your HT Username and copy/paste your .BINs inside
http://highperformancehonda.com and choose FTPLINK if you're too lazy to copy and paste the actual FTP address at the top
EDIT: not working with firefox currently. put ftp address directly in windows explorer if you're a firefox user.

i HIGHLY doubt that there is NOT "one" .bin out there that is close to mine,
.
i mean give me a break.
as long as have the "SAME" mods, same altitude, temperature range...etc
i beleive it WILL 'help' me a little
b18a
gsr head / s2 pro1
s2 intake, 3 inch shortram
p30 pistons (81.25) on pr4 rods
320cc inj
hytech header
yada yada yada
just an example, i don't mean to sound like a dick...

You get lucky sometimes. But you gotta watch out for the program changes.. alot of 1.3 bins in regular crome wont work well with 1.4.9 pro version of crome anymore there's things that are messed up in those bins and u have to watch out for it.. I have a few bins that migh tbe able to help you out with urs but i'm at work now, i gottaaaaaaa wait till i get home..I realy want to share my bins as i know how hard it is to come across people to share things in this type of situation.. people are always so serective..

IMO you would at absolutely at minimum need to have a wideband in your car, ESP if driving 3+ hours to get tuned. It only takes overheating the pistons once to ruin all of your hard work. I can be a huge dick, telling you not to use what someone else posts over the internet is being a friend....

Incorrect in most cases. Your VE will decrease after peak torque. To compensate for the drop in cylinder pressure you can lightly increase ignition timing.
You all should be very careful in looking at these. I am really serious about the ignition timing tables. Those are just numbers, your actual timing will vary a good bit in some cases.

The base ignition table runs in addition to the standard tables
