hmmm i would look into that it would suck if that air bag just poped out in your face. i used to detail trade ins and some dude told me one went off in his face and broke his nose. i know theres a thread on here on how to turn the light off. you should be able to check codes like you would for a cel.

When you first start your car, the SRS light comes on for about 5 seconds. YOu sure you didnt accidently flip the car off then on again while driving? While driving, flip from 2nd to 1st accesory, then back again to second, and ur srs will come on for 5 seconds as it runs its test.

Turn the car off, stick the key in the ignition and turn it all the way to the last notch but dont start the engine.

Look at your SRS light. If it flashes for about 6 seconds and then disappears, your SRS should be fine. If it just flashed once, it's an intermittent error, at least for now. You should be OK if that was the only time it flashed. (someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's what the Helm's manual says).

If it just came on that one time, your SRS should be fine.

mainly when a cel,srs light just flashes or comes on and goes off its normally a intermittent failure. so you should be good unless the light comes on and stays on then go get it checked cause that means non of your srs will operate correctly
