This is my new 2k8 civic. I went 4 door because of insurance purposes. I have a Kenwood DDX7019 with all the goodies (BT, NAV, SIRIUS) from my old car that I'm putting in it. I plan on doing a detailed install of dash tear down and install for everyone so everyone can be well educated. Proud to say first BRAND NEW car I've ever owned is a honda!!! ;-)











I have finally installed my fixens...

Sirius ant on roof, GPS ant on the trunk (so they are both centered)

Notice the bit of shade of the dash kit.. ya.. kinda pissed me off

Radar mounted clean with the bluetooth mic above the mirror


Q-Logic doesnt have a custom box yet :-/ Had to settle for this for now..

Danka! I just got my scosche kit today and the unit seems to fit in the kit with its goodies nicely. Hopefully clearance will be ok.. I'm looking forward to doing the picture install for guidance to others...if I dont get too busy with school this coming semester...

What happened was his pics needed to be resized to a normal resolution, so the thread deleted.

Did honda change the design? My ex steerwheel is connected to the round handle from left, right and bottom, this new one only connected from left and right? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

thats the design of the sedans steering wheel my uncles LX sedan has the same 2 spoke design without the audio controls of course.

 

lemme know if you have any starter problems

i've had intermittent rough starts since buying the car

always from a cold start, usually early in the morning. like dew or condensation is roughing it up or something.

Nice car... I wish I got the navi si Oh well I like the shifter its cool but only if it came in 6 speed.

Hey WhiteTegSE, Just a heads up on those antennas you got on your roof/trunk... ive got a sirius antenna and had a hell of a time finding a place to put the damn thing... i found if you stick the magnet up under the back speaker dash as close to the trunk as possible (you'll see the holes in the metal) and run the wiring back it works great. i haven't lost a single bar on signal.

by the way congrats on the new ride. navi looks great!

*sigh* I remember when my honda had that low of miles Looking good, keep it clean! And yeah, kinda weird with the two spoke steering wheel... wonder why they opted for that in the sedan.

nah, i'll let them know when i bring it in for my first oil change.

i've called about it and they want to keep it overnight because morning from a cold start is when the rough starts happen.

i guarantee it won't happen when they push it through. :-/

had one earlier this week that was pretty bad. the engine turned almost over and then hung and the whole car shook and it rumbled to a start.
