Default code 22 (oil press) check engine light in PR3

ok so i took some advice that i received earlier about where to get my PR3 obd0 ecu chipped, and i went with john over at j-k-tunning.com and after i installed the chip i immediately received a code 22, which is a oil pressure sensor. only one i can think of is the vtec press. sensor, but here is the kicker; with my stock pr3 i never received this CEL? could it be a faulty chip? john has been tellin me to ground it out, but im thinking this is a bad idea. has anyone ever come across this problem? thanks in advance guys.

Check for a loose connection plug on the oil pressure sending unit switch. And check that you having sufficient oil in your crankcase. May be that you are low in oil or the oil pump is giving out.
