Yeah true...but almost all exhausts offer the same performance. Nothing you can notice from the butt-dyno or maybe in a real race. Performance of an exhaust becomes more important as you begin to change the internals of your motor.

the A'pexi N1 is definitly the best non-raspy exhaust you can get. just my $0.02
.I think Tanabe Racing Medallion sounds good. It can get raspy as well though.
The best sounding exhaust, is the ones that aren't super load and sound like your car is farting. I like how people think they are so cool, cause it sounds like their car is fast, even though they are doing 10 mph in a parking lot.
Ick.
I seen this one guy with a 98 accord coupe.. he had great exhaust, nice, deep rumble when he started his car.

if you like your ears dont get an N1. omfg! i installed one on a friends car a couple weeks ago, then drove on the freeway to home depot. it sounds cool at first, then when you drive it, ugh, headache. it has that japanese tuner car sound, too lound for me though. i have an apexi ws, its pretty quiet, but it car be loud when you open it all the way up.
I have the Apexi N1 exhaust on my car with a Aem CAI. and I have never heard a beter exhaust in my life I would defintly recomend it on a integra.
well i might be the first but my N1 just broke!!!!!!!!
i was thinking of doimg a Hayabusa from Japan but something tells me that i might just end up with another N1. It has served me well (especially when shooting flames on a full throttle 4th to 5th shift at WOT) but this just makes me question its quality. I have had mine for over 2 years. Response is great & i'm actually used to the sound & i have never used the silencer. I'm going to think it over this weekend & decide on Monday

comptech exhaust sounds really nice and looks cool. the apexi ws also has a nice design with nice low tone. But of course i gotta go for the N1,
i've had it on my GSR for a few months now and love it. i don't get why people say it sucks on the freeway, cuz when i'm cruising on the freeway i just lightly push the gas (enough to keep my speed but not speed up) and the tone is very low.

I like the Comptech and Apexi WS. The Comptech sounds mean but it's kinda loud. Apexi WS you can only really hear under hard acceleration/WOT. I can't stand GReddy EVO or Apexi N1. EVO sounds like farts in parking garages and is raspy and nasty sounding in the midrange. The Apexi N1 looks mean as hell, but it's so loud and sounds like a street bike, I can't stand that. As for performance though, you can't beat the Apexi N1, if you can stand the noise without the silencer. Even with the silencer it's kinda loud, I think the Tanabe RM silencer does a better job of quieting down the exhaust for the RM exhaust system.

exhaust or muffler for sound =
why are you even bringin up ALTEZZAS in this post ? get lost. to the original poster: whats your definition of good sound? im hearing answers ranging from the quietest( apex WS and comptech) to the loudest( apex N1) ...you gotta clarify. but just for sound...u wont be dissapointed w/ the greddy evo.

its a straight through design muffler also
