Integra GSR or 240sx?
Hey I have an S13 hatch right now and ive been thinking about selling it and getting an integra gsr, would that be a dumb move? I'm getting sick of this car its slow as ***** and I could care less about RWD and drifting. My first car was a LS-V integra and I had way more fun in that but I sold it in like 3 weeks because it didnt have A/C or P/S. So should I?
nissans are sick an all..... but maintaining them is expensive. hondas are so basic and real easy to work on compared to any other auto manufacture. go with a teg for sure if its for a daily.
Well i have ridden and drove both of them yes the KA's arent quick but when their built and boosted they are insane!!!! But a GSR is fun to drive and is quick and on its toes. Me personally...i would go with a GSR concidering the fact that 240's are expensive to maintain and what not
Honestly I was gonna say stick with the Nissan but since RWD isn't much to you, get the GSR, (I just like RWD vehicles) but they are reliable, look great inside and out, and have decent power...
240's are fun and I feel more safe in a rwd car. I'd say go with the Integra just because I find that parts are easier to get for it. I use to be a 240 addict until I started working on Integras and seeing how easy swaps are and how easy it is to manage.

If I had to pick between the two I would go with the teg.

The only reason i personally dont like the 240sx is because all of them in good condition are expensive and the rest are in god awful condition. Not to mention an S13 is like 15 years old...the only 240 i'd want is an S15. I'm not big on the flip lights of the S13

Yea I paid 3k for mine and it had only 2 owners, great condition, but I bet I can rip some drifter wannabe 15 year old off easily.

Yea the mods for them are expensive as hell also, and so are replacement parts. The car has been a real bitch to me and its still slow, fun around turns but sooooo slow.

Get the GSR, i have one and love it. The high powered bargain cars in our area are the 90-96 300zx-TT and the early 90's Vettes, like 6-10k for something worth buying. Go drive a few cars before you make your choice, gotta tell you though, the GSR is a great daily driver.
if you really don't care about rwd and drifting, then yes get the gsr. your only worries is it could get stolen.
people only get 240's to drift. integra's are way better looking.

Nah I live in a good neighborhood it wont get stolen. To me integras look like **** to 240s but I really dont care about looks I just want a quick high revving car. Whats the topspeed for a stock healthy GSR anyways? I heard 140 somewhere.

It shouldn't matter how fast the car can go up to especially if its a street car. It only matters how fast it gets to the target speed.

To me, the only reason to have the 240 is to have a drift car. Since you've already indicated that you're not interested in that then the Integra is the obvious choice. Except this time don't fLIck it up by going LSVTEC.
yaeh a stock RPS13 is slow because of the motor. its a hasle to swap the SR20 redtop without getting expletiveed over. getting it bard is a bitch and if u arnt into drifting then yeah u should trade it for soemthing else. maybe ull have more fun witht he GSR and the vtec. ull all see why we love hondas. they really are sports/race cars and underated.
i use to want a S13 but then the drift scene went to **** with all these kids and that damn G4 drifting where they just go in circles -_- tandom my ***. thats not the true essence of drifting. so i said expletive it, got myself an integra and never looked back. circuit is the best <3

I'd go after one already done if i was going to do a 240, i was out at modifiedcartrader.com the other day and found a sweet 240 with the rb26 skyline motor dyno'd some crazy numbers with an ask price of 18,000, the car was just sweet too. Why spend $5000 on a basic 240 and dump 10+ in it just to realize that you could have bought just a sick one for less. BTW a stock GSR will push 130 fairly quickly. Top speed is 138 published, i haven't been past 130 myself but the car is awful smooth and stable at that speed, in a straight line at least.
BTW have you ever considered having two cars? Like a track oriented ride and a daily? For example my Vette gets like 14mpg in town and maybe 19 on the highway, tires are just scary in rain {nitto555r) I'd hate life if i didn't have my GSR. Get yourself a nice daily driver and maybe do a few mods, then have your scary speed freak car for the dry days.

I would like to have 2 cars but I am 17 and broke. My 240 would be fun as hell if it was boosted but im not working my *** off working at some shitty publix to do that. A N/A 240 would still be pathetic but I could do like intake, exhaust, header, etc to a GSR and it would be quick enough for me.
O and I dont know why everybody is saying S13s are ugly, they are pretty good looking to me but then again I dont care about how a car looks.
