I was wanting some suggestions, preferences, and your pros and cons on helmets. Whats your favorite? What brands would you buy, and wouldn't buy? Are there any brands that are better and "safer" then another?
Thanks
Chris

It all depends on your budget. How much are you looking to spend?
As long as you get one with DOT and Snell M2005 certifications, you can be sure it will be "safe" (A relative term because helmets cannot protect you from everything). The most important thing is FIT, try to go to a local bike shop and test fit some from different brands and models and see which one you like more.

Shoei, Arai, Suomy, and AGV are amongst the "high end" brands so besides safety, quality are top notch. There are inexpensive helmets that are considered the safest and Z1R is one of them.

everybody's got their fav. lid, but the reasons for it are all different: fit is going to be the most important factor in helmet buying. get to a store and try on some helmets. the one you like best, regardless of the price, is the helmet you should buy.
