Brakes are making a clickin noise
Lately whenever im braking, right before i stop I hear a loud clicking noise.. any idea on what it is? Its scaring the hell out of me, I know i probably need new brakes but I'd just like to know what it is and if I definitely need to get new brakes soon.
How loud are you talking here? Front or rear? I can hear my rear brakes make some clicking noise sometimes. Did you check your pads, rotors and brake fluid?
check underneath your car and look at the CV boots, one could be torn. Axles usually make clicking sounds not brakes. When brakes are worn bad they make a screaching sound because there is no pad left so it is metal against metal and it ***** up your rotors. Axles make clicking sounds, do you notice any grease. Sometimes when the boot is torn it will throw grease everywhere. Try turning your wheels and look at the boot. there is one on the driver's side and one on the passenger's side. Let me know if you find anything.
I have the exact same problem with mine...I looked around for a little bit this morning but I couldnt find anything obvious. Any ideas would really help me too
