i have a P28 in my prelude and ive been doing some things to it over the past few weeks and one of them included extending wires so i could hide them. one of the ECT plug wires pulled right out of the back of the plug (old brittle wire i guess?), so i found someone that had one and he gave it to me and now its fixed. then as im wrapping the harness all up getting ready to put wire loom on it i noticed that the other ECT plug did the same thing, but this time i dont remember it happening. i could have done it when i unplugged it and not noticed (the other one i barely pulled on and it gave a tiny little tug and it popped right out), but i didnt even feel a tug on the wire so i was thinking it may have fallen out a long time ago (ive unplugged this harness countless times before).
my question is basically this... does a P28 use one or two ECT sensors? if it only uses one, will my prelude still function (iirc, one controls the temp gauge and one goes to the ECU for the fan to function) correctly?
this freaking sucks ***** b/c i was going to finish this thing tomorrow and now i might have to wait around for another plug

It only uses one, but I couldn't tell you which one on the harness. You'll have to run a continuity check from the ECU's ECT input wire to each of the plugs to see which one is the correct one.
